I am so excited to bring you creative content, how tos, free (and some paid) patterns, cricut fun, essential oil tips, recipes, health and wellness, and so much more!! And I will KEEP IT REAL with you the whole time. I will not tell you anything I do not believe and I will not steer you towards something unless I either use it, have used it, or have done it before myself.
Now to tell you a little bit about me. My name is Kristy Wilson. 🙂 I am still getting used to my new name! I got MARRIED on April 7th, 2020 to my soulmate Travis. Yes, we made it happen during the pandemic just before our state got locked down. We were only allowed to have our kids there, which was actually perfect, because of the whole social distancing thing.
We took a pretty epic pic of it too…
We are planning to have a larger ceremony with family and friends when the state has opened back up and it is safe to get our party on. There is never a dull moment here!!
I would like to tell you a little bit about my page name. Bona Fide Concepts. My husband and I are low-key OBSESSED with the movie Oh Brother, Where Art Thou. We literally quote it all the time. It is hilarious……more so to us than to our kids, but that’s ok. We are still cool. Parts of the movie talk about being bona fide. We constantly use that quote, “But you ain’t bona fide”. When I was trying to come up with a page name, my husband actually said something about being bona fide. SO, I looked up the meaning. The meaning is genuine, real. That was PERFECT for what I was trying to get across. I want to offer many concepts while keeping it genuine and real with you. So the name Bona Fide Concepts was born. We also had to watch some movie clips afterwards as well. If you don’t know this movie, get on our level and watch it. It is GREAT!!!!!! 🙂
Ok a little on my crafting background, I have been crocheting for my entire life. I learned as a child then I just quit doing it. Later in life, about 13 years ago I retaught myself everything. I started a small business to sell my items. Then I started expanding to more and more media including Cricut, sewing, embroidery. #allofthethings
Aside from crafting, I am also passionate about wellness, natural health options and using essential oils.
Yeah, yeah I know what you may be thinking, don’t think I have not heard it already. I am NOT one to sit here and tell you that essential oils are the cure all for everything. No. If I break a bone (which I have never done) then I am going straight to the doctor. What I AM telling you is that essential oils have changed our lives in amazing ways. Even my husband is on board!! Something I never thought I would say! I look forward to sharing all of our personal experiences with you on this page.
